We are launching a 2 weeks-long writing competition on Aerie's Guard! The winning entry will be the one with the most "hearts" on Aerie's Guard. You can win a copy of Epic the Card Game with all the Kickstarter backer's exclusives!
A while ago, we backed Epic, the Card Game from the makers of Star Realms, their first successful card game. We bought two copies of it to be able to give away one, and now is your chance to get your hands on it!
Here are the rules:
- The competition is open to residents in North America, beyond the shipping cost would probably double the game cost itself!
- Entries have to be submitted through the website by Monday, 5th October 2015, 12:00AM. The final heart count will be held on Monday, 12th October at 12:00AM. The winner will be announced the same day.
- The entry should be an article at least 2,000 signs or 400 words. We won't be checking for exact numbers, but in general, size matters, and entries too short will be disqualified
- There is no fixed topic, you can write about anything you like. Review, column, fiction, anything is suitable.
- Formatting will not be taken into account for judging the validity of an entry, but it probably will affect the number of hearts received. We will be readily available to help any participant with formatting and spell-checking.
- Only a member of Aerie's Guard Refuge can heart an article, and a member can heart as many entries as it wants. We will be checking for bogus account creations. A proven bogus account hearting an entry will not disqualify the entry completely, but the heart will not count towards said entry total either.
